My youngest makes movies with their friends. I was approached with the offer of an Ex Producer credit if I would fund the props for their next venture. One of the required items was a baseball bat. I looked at the prices & said "I'm sure I could make that in no time!" ...

The moment we stopped watching Bridgerton Let us explain ... Things were going great and we were really getting into Season 3. That is until we watched this scene unfold before our eyes ....

Last winter I rescued a nice piece of hardwood from a neighbour's skip. Today I processed it into a few nice blanks & finished this lovely shallow dish. There are a couple of visible nail holes in the piece that (to me, at least) show it's history & are part of it's story.

My David Attenborough story, for his 98th birthday. A few years ago, I decided to write to David to let him know how much his work meant to me - he was one of my childhood heros, 'Life On Earth' was incredible to this 5 year old... So I wrote a letter... 🧵

Down LBA 'lock-ring' v. 'pennanular ring' rabbit hole - knew they were very different (lock rings hollow, intricate, sheet gold, pennan's solid with CuA or lead core, sometimes with silver inlay). Hadn't realised lock-rings sometimes use strip-twist wire... 😳❤️ #Archaeology
