Assuming these people were at the restaurant for 2 hours A $60 tip means this server made $30/hour off this ONE TABLE Is that not enough for a waiter to make? Does being a waiter really need to be a $150/hour job? The entitlement behind a lot of tipping culture is insane

I've got a very bad feeling that dumping America for France is not going to serve us well. This is a mistake, we're making a very big mistake.

Withdraw from NATO, declare war on France, and drop pallets of longbows to the British populace so they can restore the Angevin Empire (that’s all it would take).

@Maidinamerica3 @BenedictSpence Try functioning in society today with no internet/data, seriously try banking, try applying for jobs with no internet. You talk as if it's a luxury when it's a necissity today.

You do not need to run cover for the mistakes of previous administrations reflexively like its red team blue team. The US created the situation in Ukraine, and it was a mistake to do so. Trump, correctly in American eyes, is now trying to get out. That doesn't mean you need to run cover for Biden and Obama. Russia does not seriously believe the British began the Ukraine situation.

@ZoomerHistorian Do you really believe that? You know Russian media blames the Brits right? To them you’re the number one enemy. Everybody in Russia and Russia-aligned Eastern Europe blames the Brits for everything that goes wrong. It’s tradition.

@StevenBartlett PP is a far right conservative. Think maple maga. Kisses Trump's ass constantly. He will never be PM. He lost his own seat last election, and had an MP in a very safe conservative riding retire to take his place. I watch your pod, but do some fucking research FFS.

Could this be the next Prime Minister of Canada? Recently, I’ve been finding myself up all night trying to figure out what the hell is going on in the world and if we're on the verge of World War III… So, today I’m sitting down with Pierre Poilievre who is the leader of Canada's Conservative Party and Leader of the Opposition. He became one of the youngest MPs elected to Canadian parliament and has spent 2 decades fighting for working class people and fair opportunities. Pierre told me that he’s on a mission to make Canada the freest and most affordable place in the world, and he’s not stopping until that happens. To give you more context on his background, Pierre was adopted at birth by two school teachers who struggled financially and ended up losing multiple homes which meant that they had to start again from nothing several times throughout his childhood. That experience shaped what he believes about work, money, and fairness. When speaking about his parents, he told me that they taught him that it doesn’t matter where you come from. It matters what you do. That belief is now at the centre of everything he’s trying to change.

@KingJae I went back to Tag 2play it almost every day now, yeah it's got it's issues (especially insane damage) but god it feels worlds better than Tekken 8 and so much less stressful.

I love Tekken, but Tekken 8 has to be one of the most frustrating games I've ever played. The amount of 50/50 situations, combos into stage hazard, counter hit into guaranteed stuff is just not fun experience. What made Tekken fun is learning, trying to figure out difficult situations, archetypes of characters but this game is literally throw the kitchen sink, microwave and bowl at you and see what hits. With that being said, I play it because of the love of the series for over 20+ years but the game might be unfixable at this point as there are so many moves and ch situations that have been in the game for awhile unchanged. I'm unsure whether this game is for the casuals because even casuals seem to just be playing because it is Tekken aswell.

One woman is killed by a man every three days in the United Kingdom. One in four have been raped or sexually assaulted. 93% of domestic abuse perpetrators are male. This is on us. It is on men. We have to do better.

@Radwulf00 @TheLaurenChen It is a morale fallacy to believe I cannot have worked hard labor jobs and understand how difficult serving is. When you are carrying boxes, you don't have to deal with temperamental customers at the same time.

June 2, 2024 — Trump on Fox & Friends In a lengthy interview, Trump was asked about declassifying files from high-profile investigations. He didn’t hesitate in agreeing to declassify files from investigations into the Sept. 11 attacks and the Jan. 6 insurrection. When asked about Epstein, he was more circumspect. Host Rachel Campos-Duffy: “Would you declassify the Epstein files?” Trump: “Yeah, yeah, I would. I guess I would. I think that less so, because you don’t know — You don’t want to affect people’s lives if there’s phony stuff in there, because there’s a lot of phony stuff in that whole world. But I think I would, or at least—” Duffy: “Do you think that would restore trust — help restore trust.” Trump: “Yeah. I don’t know about Epstein so much as I do the others. Certainly about the way he died. It’d be interesting to find out what happened there, because that was a weird situation and the cameras didn’t happen to be working, etc., etc. But yeah, I’d go a long way toward that one.” Sept. 3, 2024 — Lex Fridman’s podcast Trump was more assertive when asked by Friedman about releasing Epstein’s client list. Trump: “Yeah, I’d certainly take a look at it. … Yeah, I’d be inclined to do the Epstein, I’d have no problem with it.”

@BowHunter247 @RepThomasMassie Probably due to Trump campaigning on Epstein transparency and releasing the "Phase 1" binders to influencers, Bondi saying the client list was on her desk, then after all that Trump doing a 180 and calling it all a Dem hoax. Innocent people don't hide evidence of their innocence.

It is easy to forget that you are simply Europeans on another continent, do not let the hubris of Empire lead you into forgetting that. We did the same thing with Europe when we ruled the world, it's silly. We're all in this together and want the same thing buddy, drop the weird tone and us vs them mentality. We all love Americans here and want the best for them, people just have very legitimate criticisms about the American Government (past and present), don't take it personally.

My genuine advice to the European right (such that it exists) is to lean into the anti-American sentiment. That’s your path to power. You need an ‘oppressor’ to fight against. One that moderate voters already want to hate. And the obvious rhetorical choice is America. Who’s responsible for the European migrant crisis? Not Europeans! It’s those damn Americans who caused chaos in the Middle East and forced you to accept 50M migrants (don’t worry about proving the “forced” part, people will believe it because they want to). Who’s responsible for the European energy crisis? Not Europeans! It’s those damn Americans who pushed climate change and anti-nuclear narratives to deindustrialize Europe and keep it weak and dependent (don’t worry that Russia actually funded your Green parties, it’s more fun to blame America, so people will). What about NATO? Here’s where it gets tricky, so follow along closely: America didn’t create NATO to protect you from the Soviet Union, it created NATO to keep you weak and enslave you. But also, Donald Trump wants to leave NATO because he wants to keep you weak and enslave you. Does that seem like a contradiction? It doesn’t matter. Your voters want to believe both, so they will. Ukraine War? America forced Russia’s hand. Strait of Hormuz? America closed it. Fertility crisis? America psyop’d you into thinking the world was overpopulated. It works for everything. Blame America and watch the communists and Islamists start nodding along. Blame America even harder than they do and watch your rankings shoot up in the polls. Just don’t start believing it yourselves. Never get high on your own supply. A strong, self-confident Europe is good for both Europe and America. So if you ever actually get back to that and stand up and peer out across the wide world for a friend, there across the pond, your old pal America will be waiting.

@Sargon_of_Akkad Trump wasn't the one who tanked your energy resources that was your own government. You know that well as you've lamented with Arch. Europe could be largely self reliant but chooses not to be they want to get protection from the US for free.

America blew up the Nordstream pipeline, and now has closed the Strait of Hormuz. Hard not to see this as a deliberate strategy of denying energy to Europe, whilst America can produce its own. Callous.
