I’VE ACCEPTED AN L5 CLOUD ROLE AT AMAZON (AWS)! 💐🎉 I SPOKE & DREAMT IT INTO EXISTENCE 2 YRS AGO! THANK YOU LORD! So let me give you some insights on how a self-taught Cloud Engineer with “only” 1.5 years of Cloud experience got here. It all started as a young boy from the small and beautiful country of Turks and Caicos Islands with a dream to accomplish the impossible! I’ve applied to Amazon over 20 times (I’m not going to tell you the actual number 😂) Did you know, I even interviewed at Amazon already this year but decided to withdraw from the interview process as it just wasn’t the right fit. Many people said I should have continued.. but I stayed true to myself and as I’m always aligned with God, I knew it just wasn’t my time… yet 😏 I’ve strategically positioned my career and experiences over 2 years ago for a chance to have this opportunity.. emphasis on strategic! Since it didn’t happen my first interview attempt, I still knew it was bound to sooner or later because I’ve prepared for this! But really, the real MVPs are the 1500+ connections and relationships I’ve made with other Amazonians. Every single one of them played a role in this! Every comment, every referral, every encouragement, all the advice, the mentorship, the ADVOCACY! To the group of Amazonians that went to war with me over the 8 WEEK interview preparation/process period! Thank you! And to everyone who has been supporting and following me through my entire journey. Thank you! We’re in the big leagues now💰😏
