I'm just bracing for the bad extrapolations of the Wisconsin Supreme Court election to the gubernatorial election in the fall. Don't do it, kids. Totally different things.

Given the political environment you'd expect by November that Republicans aren't going to be spending any serious money on GA/MI/NH.

Like 90% of BlueSky culture is wanting Dems to be more progressive, more combative, loads of people hate Schumer over there…but in this one example they’re resolutely determined not to have you piss on their leg and tell you it’s raining and so here we are.

As ever, the fact that the Turbo Libs on the Turbo Lib Social Media Site are deeply skeptical of a politician, who’s trying to tell them everything they want to hear, because they can’t ignore his massive red flags is sincerely a credit to those Turbo Libs

Here's the thing I can't believe people don't get: Collins is going to go scorched Earth on Platner and then if he wins our credibility is SHOT for 10-20 years. There will be no racist Republican scandals ever because Fox will just say "Dems elected a guy with a Nazi tattoo."
JJ in NH@JustJoshinNH

Indulge me, if you will. How often has someone gotten a Nazi tattoo and turned out to be a good person? Just sit and give this an honest answer. So. Why give somebody the benefit of the doubt and assume they're the exception to the rule?

The main difference between the people on Bluesky and those on here is that the people over there are actually progressives but don't have as their #1 (and only) issue 'sticking it to da Libs/establisment', whereas the 'progressives'/leftists on here are willing to overlook literally anything as long as they get to Own the Libs. (it was a major part of how they were so enamored with Fetterman) anyway, picture unrelated:

Trump is obviously insane and diplomats are scrambling to come up with a ceasefire to prevent the worst case scenarios. Why are people skeptical of reporting that says this

A bill supposedly designed to protect kids from harmful online content would actually put them (and all Americans!) in serious danger from cybercrimes. My article on the App Store Accountability Act is out today at @dcexaminer: washingtonexaminer.com/op-eds/4509766…

Forcing ID verification creates massive privacy risks, the exact vulnerabilities cybersecurity experts have repeatedly warned against. We should protect kids online through parental empowerment & law enforcement, not a digital ID mandate that endangers everyone.

New from me and @ChrisMarchese9. The government can try to rebrand speech any way it likes. It’s still speech. The First Amendment is not fooled by such petty evasion attempts. Nor does it permit relegating professionals to second-class constitutional status.

The Supreme Court's 8-1 Chiles v. Salazar ruling clarifies a vital truth: the government can't rebrand speech as "conduct" to bypass the First Amendment. Censorship by any other name is still censorship. NEW by @ChrisMarchese9 & @Paul_Taske 🏛️👨‍⚖️👩‍⚖️
