I'm sorry, but you have to be insane to prefer leaving a 200m wide gap here than allowing construction of new buildings above one of the world's largest and busiest railway stations

@central01000011 @fabiodeuxbeer This tweet led me down a rabbit hole and I have since learnt Central (45.1m) is the 4th busiest station in the Southern Hemisphere behind Jakarta Manggarai (84.3m) and Tanah Abang (56.6m) stations, and then Town Hall (48.5m). Naarm doesn’t make it to the list (SX and FS have 20m)

@RandomGuy100807 The summer is hot, but between our mild winters and dry heat, PHX has a comparable number of comfortable days to most of the U.S.
And it's one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. We'd rather meet that housing demand with walkable neighborhoods than more sprawl.

Sedans have got to make a comeback. I am so tired of seeing SUVs everywhere! (The small SUVs get a pass, but they’re on thin ice.) ***it should be implicitly understood that robust, fast, cheap public transit would be far better than continuing to rely on cars***
