UNICEF welcomes the adoption of Kazakhstan’s National Programme “Children of Kazakhstan” (2026–2030). A comprehensive strategy to advance child wellbeing, strengthen child protection systems and ensure equal opportunities for every child.

Had a thoughtful meeting in Shymkent with Svetlana Lugina to exchange views on social responsibility and the role of private initiatives in supporting children’s wellbeing. Always valuable to engage in dialogue grounded in shared values.

Appreciated the opportunity to meet with Baurzhan Berdaliyev, Deputy Director of the Shymkent Chamber of Entrepreneurs, to discuss how responsible business can contribute to advancing child rights and wellbeing.

Pleased to meet with Shymkent City Maslikhat members and the Child Rights Ombudsperson to discuss priorities for child rights and wellbeing. Grateful for the open dialogue and shared commitment to stronger local partnerships for every child.

Energised by the passion of young people in Shymkent! On World Children’s Day, we opened a Youth Hub here and signed a new collaboration memorandum with South 🇰🇿 Pedagogical University. The hub will be a space for youth to learn, create and drive real change — #ForEveryChild

Happy International Youth Day!🎉 To mark the launch of our School of Volunteering, UNICEF has opened 6 youth volunteer hubs across Kazakhstan bringing together 3,270 young changemakers in our first cohort and this is just the beginning!

Together with UNICEF, and thanks to the compassion of people of Kazakhstan, we’ve raised over $270,000 to support children in Gaza. These vital funds are helping provide clean water, hygiene kits, medical aid, and mental health support. Thank you for standing with children.💙

Together with @Senate_KZ Deputy Chair, Olga Perepechina, at the launch of @unicefkaz's latest Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey. With data from 24,000 households, this survey provides critical insights on the situation of children in 🇰🇿. Pleased to see the commitments of partners to inform policies and budget allocations accordingly.
