@SoCassandra Diction doesn't matter. I have a Midwestern/southern accent that comes out without me realizing it. Diction was the common advise I was given to work on, so it was confusing when they said don't listen to that advise.

Reasons I've seen voice actors get fired: 🚫Late to every group record. Gone after a few weeks. 🤯Didn't test their equipment before a remote record & it didn't work. Replaced due to time constraints. ☠️Mouthing off to the director 📺 Watching videos instead of paying attention

No more actors, ADR writers & voice directors, engineers, producers, talent coordinators, agents&agencies… No thrill of meeting the actors at cons, signed prints, panels, road stories… No more “one more take” “but your throat!” “yeah, but this means everything to me!” It’s sad.

It’s audition time, so here’s a PSA to all you actors out there: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING LABELING YOUR FILES!! Most auditions (Crunchyroll’s for sure) give you an exact example for each character- JUST COPY AND PASTE THAT AND PUT YOUR NAME IN. 🤦‍♀️

@caitlinsvoice 😩😩😩 My biggest complaint: Dropbox messes with file naming, so sometimes when it goes from talent > agent Dropbox > agent uploads to client end portal, things are so scrambled with additional added things lol and I can automate my Dropbox to fix some but not all…so sloppy…
