🇳🇵A family from Nepal has been hunted by a killer elephant for 14 years The elephant has killed 25 people, targeting the Bote family. In 2012, the elephant trampled a man’s parents. After the tragedy, the man sold all his property and moved with his relatives to another village in hopes of escaping the beast. But 14 years later, Dhruve attacked his new home, trampling to death his daughter-in-law and 4-year-old grandson. Bote himself managed to escape by scaring the elephant away with fire. Dhruve, one of Nepal’s most dangerous elephants near Chitwan National Park, becomes aggressive during hormonal periods while seeking food and alcohol. In 2012, he destroyed 68 houses in a single day. After a series of killings, Nepalese authorities issued a license to eliminate Dhruve. In 2012, the army was deployed to kill the elephant, but it escaped into the national park. The license is no longer valid.
