A few tweets on Unite for Access matchday to highlight the things @readingfc do for disabled supporters. Did you know... 1) to ensure our Club 1871 wheelchair user supporters get a great view of the pitch in Club, the first few rows in front are not usually available to buy.

5) Back in 1998 when the Madejski Stadium opened, it was only the second in the UK with a sunken bowl. At the time, this was breakthrough design, which gave wheelchair users an elevated outlook and unhindered access to their viewing area. #readingfc

I’ve stood in stadiums where the noise makes your chest vibrate ⚡️ But yesterday, Anfield proved something even more powerful… Carlsberg and Liverpool FC partnered with the British Deaf Association to teach fans how to perform ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ in British Sign Language. For the first time, the anthem wasn’t just heard - it was seen 🥹 And the campaign hasn’t stopped there!! Bar staff at Anfield are being trained in basic sign language. Fan bars and pubs across the world are following suit, including teams at 16 Greene King Sport pubs across Merseyside 👏 Too often, we talk about atmosphere as volume. But what about belonging? Creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and included - that’s beautiful. What a moment ✨ (🎥: premierleague)
