Most people who call themselves liberals aren’t. Classical liberalism means individual rights, free markets, limited government, free speech, and equality before the law. That describes the American right. Not the American left. The left believes the group outweighs the individual. Government should engineer outcomes. Speech should be regulated. Race should be central to policy. And the West should be deconstructed. That’s not liberalism. That’s a different ideology with a borrowed name. Here’s what liberalism actually looks like. Free speech — including speech you hate. Equal treatment under law regardless of race. Limited government. Free markets. Western civilization as something worth defending. If that’s what you believe, you’re a liberal. You’re just not welcome in the party that took the word.

@BoneyDanza @ChrisMartzWX The arguments I hear from socialists are all about how workers create wealth and owners extract that wealth from their workers, argue against that instead of a straw man

Billionaires don't make your life miserable. Government, however, does because of burdensome regulations and ever-increasing taxes. Most billionaires are CEOs of companies that provide products and services that have improved the quality of life. You don't really hate billionaires for having money. You envy of them because you're a loser who has accomplished nothing in life.

@jasantono @jonbrooks Where I live it’s difficult to find rent under $1300 and wages above $45k, it costs at least hundreds of dollars to move far enough where things are different and not uncommon to take a year applying everyday to get anything you can get much less have a choice, you’re outta touch

Nothing. They are too far gone. The only way to fix it is to change the next generation. Not gen Z, but Gen alpha. Teach them that having kids isn't a burden, but a blessing, that kids don't cripple your finances, they can enhance them, they aren't the death of your social life, the bring out a different side of it. Make the parent life seem like something desirable, instead of a death sentence. That's the only way to change course.

The money argument is dumb - unless you have it stuck in your brain that they must go to expensive schools, expensive universities and they all must have their own bedroom. It's very true they are inconvenient to your lifestyle, at first. Eventually, imagine having three good friends who you can make follow you around the world on trips and ski vacations.

The same industry that produced 𝘚𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘥, 𝘍𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴, 30 𝘙𝘰𝘤𝘬, and 𝘊𝘶𝘳𝘣 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘌𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘢𝘴𝘮 — shows that built NBC’s empire by making audiences laugh 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 it was uncomfortable — now produces sanitized, pre-approved content designed to offend no one and entertain no one. Kudrow put it simply: “𝘊𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘥𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘦” — the kind where an audience thinks “𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯’𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵”. That reaction is now classified as a liability. Studios run scripts through sensitivity readers before they run them past focus groups. The result is shows that feel like corporate HR training with a laugh track. This is what happens when an entire industry surrenders creative freedom to the loudest complainers on social media. The audience didn’t stop wanting edgy comedy — the ratings for reruns of 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦 and 𝘚𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘥 on streaming prove that every single quarter. The 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 stopped having the spine to greenlight it. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧’𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐲. 𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐚 𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐭. variety.com/2026/tv/news/l…

@ReformedRant @heyitsmeCarolyn That’s an assertion, not an argument. Many fields—evolutionary biology, psychology, and moral philosophy—offer explanations for empathy and cooperation. If you think Christianity uniquely explains them, you’d need to show why those other explanations fail, not just say they do.

@RealAmazingBlur @heyitsmeCarolyn Begging the question I see. We agree that this is true about human experience. Only Christianity can explain why. There is no expression of atheism that grounds this experience or can explain it.

@ReformedRant @heyitsmeCarolyn Humans are a highly social species capable of reasoning, empathy, and cooperation. Concepts of right and wrong largely reflect behaviors that promote well-being and social stability versus those that cause harm.

@ReformedRant @heyitsmeCarolyn Claiming Christianity is true because the contrary is impossible just assumes what it’s trying to prove. To make that argument work, you’d have to show why empathy, social cooperation, philosophy, or other ethical systems cannot ground human value or morality.

@RealAmazingBlur @heyitsmeCarolyn Christianity is true because the contrary is impossible, logically speaking. Humans have value because they are created in God's image. Morality is grounded in God's nature. It is absolute. We can know these truths because God has revealed them to us in nature and in Scripture.

@RealAmazingBlur @heyitsmeCarolyn The most plausible expression of atheism is Naturalism. Are you telling me that you reject the most plausible expression of atheism and embrace a less plausible one? Put your worldview up. 1. Metaphysics; 2. Epistemology; 3. Ethics. How does it explain human experience?

@RealAmazingBlur @heyitsmeCarolyn I am. You see, Christianity contradicts materialism and naturalism. My worldview coheres: my metaphysics, epistemology, and ethics all inform one another and are internally consistent. Moreover, it has explanatory power. It can explain human experience. Yours does not and cannot.
