Remembering Anthony Steel on his birthday, a film star of the 40s-60s, he popped into the motel in 1978 as Philip Warner Bligh. And Christopher Mitchell best known for It Ain't Half Hot Mum, he had two roles in Crossroads; in 1970 Barry Allison and in 1980 Det. Const. Hardiman

@TheStingisBack I remember Bruce Willis saying many years ago, in an article or whatever, that Moonlighting hit notes that were never hit before and wouldn't be hit again. Quite so. It was a flaming comet of a show. Burned brightly and flamed out spectacularly. Fun to watch.

The final ep of Moonlighting aired OTD in 1989, and went full meta. Bruce Willis & Cybill Shepherd race to save their own characters, David & Maddy, from cancellation, because when the show ends they'll literally cease to exist. It even admits why Moonlighting ultimately failed

Loving SNL UK: barely knew its cast, except one I'd seen at the Globe & one in a tiktok, now they feel like a proper gang. It's such a good mix of the archival - the pork advert tonight - & Gen Z modes and mannerisms. That Posh Kid sketch tonight was so well-observed and daft.
