@RealPikaCrew And despite me only opposing the idea of "trans" on Mizuki, I was forcefully tagged as "transphobic" for not believing what they said. It absolutely stunned me that these people are really stubborn and don't want to look into other viewpoints.

This is why im anti-localizer. All these westerners constantly spouting a out how this character is trans and going as far as harrassing the japanese for being "transphobic" because westerners dont have the nuance for these japanese cultural phenomenon. Many japanese are calling this character otokonoko (male-daughter, a crossdressing male). This character isn't trans, im not against trans people but this character is a male. From what the japanese are saying, this character is similar to Ruka from Steins;Gate, a self-defined male who crossdresses specifically to be more attractive to a person they love.

Had an explosive post about how GNC is not transphobic and to stop calling japanese people transphobic for calling ambiguous characters otokonoko because GNC culture is big in japan. Had many japanese people supporting me but then westerners started calling me a "japan dick rider," "transphobe," etc which was followed by the japanese people starting to get transphobic in response. In all honesty, i think transgender and GNC culture can coexist if the west stopped viewing everything as binary and stopped calling GNC cultures such as otokonokos and femboys transphobic. Trans in japan are just trying to survive and trans in the west are acting like tyrants and trying to erase GNC cultures. x.com/RealPikaCrew/s…

I like this one because it reminds me of the attached image. Lots of low IQ people out there who both want an insane amount of snowflake boxes through identity politics but then anything slightly brown or darker suddenly becomes african regardlessof fictional world or not. A goofy example is Raihan from pokemon. You can still find western losers fighting hes african. Ignoring naming themes (which implies hes an immigrant from alola if anything which means island nation) hes galarian. Hes not anything “real”. Hes a fictional man from a fictional world with a fictional home town. Thats it until we get leaks from character description otherwise but even then, being inspired by doesnt mean he is that because hes still galarian. But the leftist losers who want to claim hes african wont just let it be a headcanon. Theyll go and attack you if you dont draw his ponytails as dreads even though they arent dreads. Since gen 8 hasnt been in the forefront, despite raihan/leon being still one of the most popular pairings, its now less common to see today. Same thing happens with femboy characters being hijacked. None of these people have the brain capacity to care about anything in a meaningful way. So when you view them as sub human parasites, then you dont need to take them seriously.

@MadamSavvy Please spread this image. So many people can't tell the difference between brown and black people.

I am a gynesexual male, i have know and been friendly with trans people, this is genuine curiosity because that sounds like a lot of steps for no real change. Most trans people either become non-binary or change to the opposite gender. I have a non-binary cousin who expresses themself as male and is biologically female so the basics of trans isn't lost on me, alot of it just sounds way too extra than just expressing yourself as the identity you transition to.

@RealPikaCrew Actually I can't tell anymore if you're being genuinely curious of trans identities you don't know about or you're just queerphobic. I'll be muting you but I'll end this with please get educated since even a Japanese person actually quoted you since you were wrong.

@Jilted_Love But thats original point of being transgender, you identify differently than your biological gender. If you prefer to express yourself as your biological gender, whats the point of identifying as a different gender?

@RealPikaCrew The point is I like what I like. The same way cis people who are gnc also like things even if they aren't transitioning. If you police gender expression of trans people, you're being reductive and going back to how gender roles should police gender and that's also against GNC.

@Jilted_Love So why would a character who uses feminine pronouns despite being biological male considered trans if pronouns dont dictate gender identity? Wouldn't that be assuming? A male character could use she/her and still identify as male thus not being trans.

@RealPikaCrew Nope, pronouns are words people choose for themselves and anyone can have any. There's no feminine = women or masculine = men when it comes to pronouns especially when we talk about nonbinary identities.

but queer is different from trans unless you are non-binary. Its a blanket term for those who align beyond the binary "Male/Female" and "Straight/Gay/Bi" so if your non-binary you dont have a male or female dichotomy to be the opposite of. As example, a non-binary couldnt be a femboy because they don't identify as a boy, one of the qualifying factors of a femBOY

If a butch woman uses different pronouns, are they not identifying as a different gender therefore they wouldn't be GNC because their gender expression aligns with their gender identity being male as per the he/him pronouns? He/him are male identifying pronouns. Id they felt like a woman inside wouldn't all that be counter intuitive by wholly being male? As example, the point of being a femboy are boys who like feeling and looking feminine while despite identifying as boys. If they weren't biologically boys then they would still be women in all aspect but pronouns which is so miniscule its not really GNC considering their gender expression aligns with their biological gender.

@RealPikaCrew In this case, if a trans woman identifies as femboy/otonoko and is still a woman, the word is only a gender expression rather than identity. It's the same thing as a butch woman using he/him pronouns. Basically how someone presents outwardly is not always how they feel inside.

GNC is about both gender expression gender identity. The point is expressing yourself in some way as the opposite of your gender. Clothing can be genderless but a lot of it has a gender stereotype such as dresses and heels being "feminine" while white beaters and work boots being masculine and makeup is mostly viewed as feminine. So again, out of curiosity, what's the point of changing your gender only to express yourself as your original gender?

@RealPikaCrew Clothes, makeup and shoes etc are genderless on their own. Wearing them is not what gender identities are about. Check out the difference between gender expression and gender identity. That's how trans folks can also be GNC like there are the feminine trans men you know.

@Jilted_Love No transphobia, genuine curiosity, what's the point of transitioning just to dress and act like the gender you were born as? Most GNC do it because they like looking and acting in ways contrary to their born gender without changing their gender.

@RealPikaCrew And part of being GNC in any country is being allowed to say and identify with any word regardless of gender identity. So actually indetifying as both trans woman and otonoko doesn't cancel each other out. Trans people can be GNC too btw because I am.

I try to call out anyone being blatantly transphobic. My intention was not anti-trans but pro GNC. Trans people and GNC culture can coexist but because trans people struggle in Japan where otokonoko culture is popular, all GNC culture is viewed as transphobic and attacking GNC people has made enough of them actually transphobic. x.com/RealPikaCrew/s…

Forcing erroneous perceptions and wayward beliefs on others is wrong and a bit creepy, it would be bad enough if it ended at fiction, but it often doesn't.

Responses, both to this character and others, are often variants of "the author may not says so, but the character feels/acts/seems that way". You need to be a special kind of stupid or culturally motivated think this way.
Jethro@JesuroShimuzu

I can't think of a single example of a post like this being accurate to what's happening, and there are a lot of them. The "phobia" is always just people/characters saying "well actually the character is guy" because the character is a guy.

I'm honestly tired of all this BS. Western culture is too binary. GNC culture exists and can coexist with trans ideology. You do not need to tear down GNC culture to accept trans people. Trans people stuggle in Japan where otokonoko culture is popular which causes GNC to be considered transphobic unfairly and for femboys struggle in the west where Transgenders are accepted x.com/RealPikaCrew/s…

Lol Again with what I said They're desperate to insert themselves into otokonoko "i-it includes us toooooo!!!" They are well aware 99% of the Japanese discussion are totally calling him an otokonoko and pivoting off of this
