They do have a birthday, but I doubt they celebrated it before Luci’s fall tbh. I feel like that’s something Luci would’ve adopted after marrying Lilith and having Charlie! I think it’d be funny if they forced Michael to have a birthday with them in hell. He’d be so overwhelmed and clueless while Luci would just have the time of his gd life 💀🤣 They’re THE original Gemini’s after all, they gotta celebrate it together at least once!!

Yes! They can turn into humans! To be with Lilith, Sam leaves the ocean and takes a human life. So long as he doesn’t become fully submerged in water, he stays human. Bc of this, he tells everyone he can’t swim, and therefore never goes in deeper than ankle depth in water, which is hilarious, bc he literally becomes a marine biologist studying specifically orcas in his human life 🤣💀 They don’t know with Charlie. Thus far she hasn’t shown the ability to change, however, he and Lilith are paranoid about people finding out what he is, and therefore don’t risk it with Charlie. She’s also not allowed in the water and doesn’t know how to swim.

@RecklessRae1 For Lure AU: You said Lucifer lived with Lilith and Charlie for a while, so does that mean the mermaids can take on a human form? Does Charlie being half-mermaid give her any special traits?

1. I think there’s a lot of reasons why Addi doesn’t want to come out of the closet. He was already ostracized and considered an abomination by his dad since birth, so I know part of it is Addi not wanting to add fuel to his father’s hatred toward him. He also grew up in parts of Nevada that aren’t exactly the most lgbtqia+ friendly. He grew up watching queer people lose their jobs, families and even their lives just for existing and I think that scares him. I know for sure he’s terrified of coming out to Sam and Michael bc they were raised with their very homophobic father. He’s convinced he’d lose them and they’re literally all he has left when it comes to family. It’s an irrational fear, bc both sam and Michael aren’t straight, and they’re both very accepting people, but addi doesn’t risk it. 2. Michael doesn’t remember his mom and wasn’t raised with her. I know he wishes he knew her before she died though. She fled with addi when the triplets were very VERY young. Mom took Addi, but left Sam and Michael. Sam was later kicked out and rescued by mom, but Michael lived with dad for his entire life, so he never really got to meet her.

Lilith (sorta?) knows. When Luci was found out, he obvs had to act pretty fast to ensure Lilith and Charlie were not put in danger bc of him. He tells Lilith he’s going back to the ocean to try and get help from Michael (aka a place to lay low for awhile). He takes his conch and goes to the ocean where he starts calling, praying Michael will hear him. Unfortunately he’s captured before that happens and his conch is taken from him. However Michael DOES hear one single call from Luci. It makes him shelter the pod and leave their cove to try to find him. He searches for months, which is how he’s eventually captured when the humans use Luci’s conch to lure him in. So Lilith pretty much knows, but has no confirmation. Charlie is young when it happens, so she doesn’t understand and Lilith won’t tell her the truth bc Charlie didn’t know her dad was a siren 😭 she just thinks Lucifer left them 💔

😬 Michael does end up cracking bullet proof glass around his tank pretty early on in his capture. He breaks his collarbone doing so 💀 they’re def gonna need a LOT of flexseal 🤣 YOOOO I was 100% debating Luci comparing the ball to a pufferfish, but I felt like maybe that was a little sadistic if they would use live fish as balls in the ocean and scrapped the idea. But the temptation was REAL 🤣💀

Luci commits the biggest act of ‘treason’ in his pod. He reveals himself to a human (Lilith) and falls in love with her. He leaves the pod and joins the human world bc of this, marries Lilith and has Charlie. So Luci knows humans and has lived amongst them for years, thus why he has a ring 💕 And yes, I can imagine Michael got swatted by Luci a few times for being overly curious/cautious about the ring LMFAO

@yourhubbynrtwo To follow canon, Luci was actually considered a liability bc of his coloring. He’s easier to spot and this is a species that doesn’t want to be found. Michael loves Luci and is very very protective of him, but it doesn’t stop poor Luci from being ostracized by the pod 💔

These are just little one off humor comics. The overall AU’s story is actually pretty dark. For this specifically, they aren’t in an aquarium like you or I would know. It’s basically a very confidential research facility that is heavily guarded by the military. No ordinary civilian is supposed to know they exist. Michael has been wild a lot longer than Lucifer. They’re basically sirens. Lucifer chose to lead a human life with Lilith and have Charlie, Michael stayed in the ocean. Luci’s secret was found out, he was taken, and the method of communication they use in the pod (conch shells) was taken from Lucifer. It was then used to lure Michael (who hasn’t seen his brother in years) into getting captured. Humans are trying to discover the location of the species, thus why Luci is tagged. Luci doesn’t know where the pod is—he’d been human for years—but Michael DOES because Michael is the pod’s guardian. Michael’s sole purpose is to ensure no harm ever comes to his pod, therefore he’s extremely resistant to captivity. He rips off tags—even if they harm him, he attacks workers, guards Lucifer, never speaks to humans etc etc. anything to prevent humans from learning about him, their species and their whereabouts. they NEED Michael but he knows that and does everything in his power to protect his people by defying the humans. I’m rambling now, but I hope that adds a little context to the LureAU for you! 😁
