Red River Zoo

SCHEELS Pride of the Prairie opens this Thursday! The ribbon cutting will be held at 1p.m. on Thursday, June 1st. After that, the exhibit will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.!

The Red River Zoo celebrated Mother's Day with a special delivery: a white-naped crane chick- a first in the Zoo’s history for this species. The Zoo is accredited by @zoos_aquariums and participates in the SSP for the white-naped crane.

We're excited to announce that our carousel has reopened after months of extensive repair work. To celebrate, we'll be offering FREE carousel rides this Saturday, May 6th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.! Regular admission rates apply.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved two-toed sloth, Milo, who left us on March 12th, 2023. Milo was a cherished member of our zoo family and brought joy and wonder to countless visitors during his time here.

The Red River Zoo is excited announced that we've earned @zoos_aquariums AZA accreditation! AZA is the gold standard for the care, welfare, and wellbeing of animals.

It's Grandparent's Day at the Zoo! Grandparent's are FREE today (Sunday, September 11th) until 5 p.m.!

The Red River Zoo will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. this July 4th! As always, Red River Zoo members receive early admission at 9 a.m.!
