GB News activist journalist Charlie Peters described his film on #Grooming gangs as a “mission.” Academic @DrEllaC took a closer look and found misrepresentations and cherry picking of sources that drove a particular narrative. Some of her observations are here

Baroness Casey's rapid grooming gangs audit finds that a "significant proportion" of live police gang grooming investigations "involve suspects who are non-UK nationals and/or who are claiming asylum in the UK".

“This could have been an opportunity to help rebuild trust.” Quoted in @IrishTimes on the Peter McVerry Trust’s refusal to attend the PAC. With €140m in public funding received, accountability to the Oireachtas shouldn’t be optional. 👉 irishtimes.com/ireland/housin…

Spot on from @MaggieOliverUK. The child rape gangs are not just Pakistani men, they are Iraqi, Iranian and Afghan. There is a connection between Islam and these crimes and we must NOT ignore that as we have done with ethnicity. We must not worry about upsetting minorities at the cost of exposing the truth.

Grooming gangs are ethnically homogenous because they are based in family relationships and friendship groups, and this homogeneity allows them to other their victims.
