@meraknight @blkwomenfan Yes! I was just talking about this! I love the game so much but it did not need to be a sequel. I even loved the new characters and mechanics they added but they really could've just made it a standalone with a story and cast of it's own.

@blkwomenfan Dawn of the New World is such a great game, but a terrible sequel. It fails at delivering on the legacy of the first game, but simultaneously drives its own narrative with its own new characters in such a fantastic direction. It was my introduction to the Tales series, too.
