On Monday, Regis’s entire freshman class took tours of the United Nations complex. Students learned about the history and function of the U.N., from promoting diplomacy at the end of World War II to leading global efforts for countries to adopt Sustainable Developmental Goals.

Twenty-six Regians studying Latin traveled to Rome over Easter Break. The students attended Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica and also visited the Roman Forum, the Colosseum, St. Mary Major Basilica, St. John Lateran Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Capitoline Museums.

Rev. Melvin Rayappa, SJ, ’08 returned to the Church of St. Ignatius Loyola today to celebrate Regis's Easter Liturgy. It was Fr. Rayappa's first time celebrating Mass for the Regis community since his ordination last year. Read more: bit.ly/4cuiHGg

The Regis Bar Association last night hosted the second installment of the Hon. John F. Keenan ’47 Lecture Series, featuring remarks from the Hon. John G. Koeltl ’63, district judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Thirty-eight students are currently taking part in a pilgrimage to Ireland over Easter break. On Saturday, the Regians celebrated Easter Vigil Mass at St. Anne’s Church in Sligo. The students also visited the Knock Shrine, Slieve League, and Croagh Patrick.

Martin Snow ’78 hosted students at the Trinity Boxing Club earlier this month for the inaugural outing of the Regis Boxing Club. Snow, the gym’s owner, has generously offered to work with our students and guide them on the basics of the sport.

Last weekend, 45 Regis juniors traveled to Massachusetts for a series of college tours. Led by members of the College Counseling Department, the group visited Boston College, Boston University, Holy Cross, Harvard (pictured here), Northeastern, Tufts, and Williams.

This year for the first time, Regis’s Aerospace Club has entered the American Rocketry Challenge, the world’s largest student rocket competition. The club constructed a single stage model rocket and conducted the test launch seen here earlier this month.

More than 450 people gathered Saturday for the 2026 Parents’ Club Auction. The evening culminated with the reveal of the 2026 Auction Challenge, which this year will fund equipment for the fifth-floor STEM Center currently under construction. Read more: bit.ly/4bKBGMy

Our Global Perspectives Week began with a talk by Harry Lee, CEO of the Abaarso Network, a transformative educational organization based in Somaliland, Africa. The network’s schools provide access to quality education and prepare students for admission to top-tier universities.

Last week, a group of seniors was joined by faculty and staff members on the first Emmaus retreats of the year. Emmaus affords our graduating seniors valuable time to reflect on their years at Regis and imagine how God will continue to shape their path moving forward.

Patrick Fitzgerald ’78 spoke via Zoom Wednesday with the Regis Legal Society. Fitzgerald, who has served as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and as special counsel for the U.S. Department of Justice, discussed how his time at Regis has influenced his career.
