With posts of mine regularly getting 100 to 200 replies, I don't think I can reply to everyone anymore. It takes me more than an hour every morning to do so.
That said, if you're going to reply with the same obnoxious shit another person did prior, I'm going to hide your post. Most people only view the first top replies, but if anyone is actually interested in the discussion, they shouldn't be subjected to seeing the same stuff over and over.
