The SAVE America Act is an attempt to take away your voice & vote. It would make it more difficult for Washingtonians to vote by mail, hand over voter information to ICE, & make it harder for officials in states to carry out elections. We must stop this blatant attempt to undermine democracy!

March is National Kidney Month! As co-chair of the Kidney Caucus, I’m focused on improving the lives of people with kidney disease & preventing millions more from developing it. But Republican health care cuts are making it harder for patients to get the care & preventive services they need.

Trump has spent nearly $12 billion on the war in Iran & has yet to outline any clear goals. These tax dollars could instead go to lowering the costs of health care, food assistance, child care, & housing for millions of Americans.

Enjoyed meeting with fire chiefs from the PNW. We discussed ways to ensure firefighters & first responders get the resources they need to keep our communities safe.

Together with Washington Delegation colleagues today, I had the opportunity to honor the life and service of Captain Ariana Savino of Covington. As we mourn together with her loved ones, we take solace in knowing that her courage, her passion for flying, and her love of country will live on through many whom she has inspired.

Workers at TSA, FEMA & the Coast Guard are being forced to work without paychecks because President Trump & Republicans in Congress refuse to stop ICE from committing violence in our communities. Today, I signed onto an effort to fund these agencies that keep our nation safe while we continue to push for reforms at ICE.

The Trump administration is now allowing companies to profit by denying Medicare treatments using AI. This is already resulting in more pain & worse health outcomes for Washington seniors. For over a year, Speaker Johnson refused to hang a plaque to honor Capitol Police & law enforcement who protected the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 – as required by law. I’m grateful for the strong public pressure that forced Republicans to finally agree to have it installed.
