We are working to advance legislation that strengthens research, improves care, and brings hope to the families who need it most. ▪️H.R. 1262, Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act, legislation to reauthorize the rare pediatric disease priority review voucher (PRV) program, which ensures continued funding for lifesaving research into cutting-edge medical treatments. ▪️H.R. 7871, MVP Act, legislation to facilitate value-based purchasing arrangements (VBPs) across all payers for rare disease gene therapy, including two gene therapies for sickle cell disease. ▪️H.R. 1518, New Era of Preventing End-Stage Kidney Disease Act, legislation to establish regional centers of excellence, postgraduate fellowships, and training for health professionals relating to the diagnosis and treatment of rare kidney disease. It also requires the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to conduct various studies on rare kidney disease.
