This afternoon, I had the absolute pleasure of enjoying lunch that was prepared by Carlisle High School's culinary CTE students. I was also treated to a tour of their on-campus CTE classes. The food was phenomenal, & seeing trade students in action was an absolute blast! TY for having me!

This morning I had the pleasure of joining a bipartisan panel with several of my coworkers & local realtors to discuss housing & how we can make home buying a more realistic endeavor. Thank you to GHAR & the rest of the attendees for having me!

Yesterday, I sought answers about multimodal transportation funding from PennDOT leaders. I hope to see a comprehensive funding plan laid out as part of the 2026-27 budget, so Pennsylvania does not lag behind its regional partners.

Monday, March 9 marks the sixth Remembrance Day for Firefighter Jerome Guise, who tragically lost his life while responding to a house fire in Monroe Township in 2020. Resident Jessica Diehl and the family’s dog also lost their lives in the fire. In the days following this tragedy, members of the fire company, fellow first responders, Jerome’s family, and many in the community began honoring their memory by walking or running a mile. In 2024, a bridge along Route 174 in Monroe Township was dedicated as the Firefighter Jerome Guise Memorial Bridge, ensuring that his service and sacrifice are remembered by all who travel through the community he served. Each March 9, our community gathers at South Middleton Township Park to walk that mile together in remembrance. Anyone who would like to participate is invited to join the remembrance walk tonight at 6 p.m. at South Middleton Township Park as we come together to honor the lives lost.

Next up was CVYBA’s Awards Dinner, where I was honored to present a citation to Scott Pepperman. Scott has dedicated nearly four decades to CVYBA and our community - it’s not often you get the chance to meet someone who’s inspired so many. I can only hope we have many more years of success!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to swing through a handful of events around the district! First stop was the POWER Women’s Annual Banquet. I’m always grateful for the work that our community groups do to support our neighbors, and I’m honored to be included in such a great cause!

I am saddened to hear about the tragic passing of Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy O’Connor. Our first responders fight everyday for the safety of our Commonwealth and our communities, and that fight never goes unseen. I am praying for Corporal O’Connor’s family, friends, and fellow officers.

Rounding out Read Across America week & starting our morning at Elmwood Academy. It’s always such a blast to meet students, spend time in schools, and quiz their knowledge on government. Already looking forward to coming back!
