I've fallen in love with the students, staff, parents, and community at Reserve Primary. These 4 years of my career have been pure gold and everyone made me feel welcome here. I will miss Reserve, but know it will be in good hands with Mr. Pelkofer. Thank you, I Love You Guys!

Ran into one of our terrific maintenance workers, "Herk" today. Herk has worked tirelessly for decades getting up very early to make sure our facilities are 👍🏻Herk's last day on the job is tomorrow and I am going to miss him. Nobody deserves a healthy, happy retirement more!

Had a great time yesterday afternoon celebrating SASD's 50th anniversary with the wonder people in our community. Thank you to Ms. Urso, Mrs. Sheets, Mrs. Kelley, Mrs. Jackson, and Mrs. Burks for representing Reserve!

SAHS Graduation is one of my favorite events of the year! I love greeting the graduates after they receive their diploma, and hearing about future plans. Great to see so many former students, parents, and families with who I've worked with over my nearly 25 years at Shaler Area.

The last day of school is one of the saddest and happiest days of the year. We will miss our students, but they have grown, and our 3rd graders are ready to soar! Thank you to our students, staff, parents, and community for making this a terrific year. See you in August!

We have 5 students who had almost perfect attendance this school year. When you come to school that's half the battle. Great work!

Our 3rd grade students shared this year's learning portfolios with a parent or special adult this morning as a capstone to their school year. Each student selected 5-6 pieces of academic work to talk about. What a fantastic tradition and great way to wrap up their K-3 schooling!

Busy morning for us as we rewarded our top Caring Place Fundraiser classes with a silly string and water balloon event. Way to go KB and 3B! Thank you to all of our students for raising funds for the long time worthy cause that our building has supported for several decades!

The Carnegie Science Center stopped by this morning and taught our students the meaning of Biomimetics and how it relates to our environment. Thank you to CSC and Mrs. Elias for coordinating this experience for our scholars!

For the first time since 2019, we took a school wide educational trip off campus to Phipps Conservatory! Our students learned about animals and insects, connected the art of Monet to classroom lessons, and saw one of Pittsburgh's treasures! What a day!!!

My math tells me that today was about my 27th Field Day. We spent most of the event inside, but that didn’t stop me and my team from having fun!
