@Gargux Haha no no. :) I'm not one to throw 'cinema' or 'cooked' around everywhere either. MGS1 was just the first game that ever made me feel like I was actually in a movie.

@RetroGames_Hunt No I got it. I just wanted to see if you'd explain anything, or just use "cinema" to get some likes since it's the current trend to use the word cinema constantly.

@Gargux You missed the point. The whole game was proof that gameplay and cinematic storytelling don't have to be separate things. The memory card was just one example of what cool things were invented for gameplay purposes.

This was a fully custom build. My goal was to recreate the original as closely as possible using the parts I had available. I built the entire cabinet from scratch, and inside sits a NEO-MVS SLOT1F motherboard connected to a supergun — so I can easily swap in other JAMMA PCBs whenever I want. I even found the CAD file I made for this cabinet. 🙂

@StruggleKet Those were the days when devs had to truly squeeze every drop out of the hardware. The limitations forced real ingenuity — and ironically, those constraints often made them far more creative than developers are today.
