Project Collab managing Job
This is one of the toughest job in every project marketing department.
The outsiders might be seeing it as a simple job but it isn't because the success of the project depends on this role.
- how you relate with other CMs that are asking for collab and,
- which community or people you are able to collab with
We have seen how projects are failing in the crypto space and this is something to be looked into.
Projects need to know;
1. Who is given the collab managing role.
A lot of CMs don't understand that they are standing between communities and the project. They forget to handle collaboration as an official act by not using the professional way of marketing the product.
2. Is he/she competent for the job
I have seen CMs that are very lazy. They don't take their time to analyze communities before allocating or agreeing to their proposal for collaborations.
3. Does he/she have good reputation
Most of the CMs aren't always professional. They speak anyhow in the space. Which is not supposed because, if such person is given a collab job, he or she will ruin the project because of his/her reputation.
4. How much effort is the person ready to put in for the success of the project.
Most CMs are just working for the money and they don't care if the project succeeds or not and, this is a very bad tfor every project.
These things are very critical and are things that should be consided before giving someone the role as a collab manager.
On the other side, Project collab managers always be ready to work.
I know it's tough. Everyone wants to get collaboration with your project which is a good thing but, i supposed you take your time and know the communities and people you want to give your project spots to.
At the end, it is good to work with two to three people depending on how big the project is.
Always announce your deadline for collaboration early.

Attach the right contact that you want to be contacted (X, dc, tg, email etc).
Imagine people reaching out to you on x while the suppose contact is discord.
Always handle things professionally by giving out every details for collaboration before opening the window for it.
