This is 100% the experience in NYC. Hotel bookings are *lower* here than this time last year. Bookings into JFK are down from last year. FIFA had projected 1.2M visitors to NY/NJ. We will be lucky to hit 1/3 of that. Huge disappointment.

It was always normal to have kids over 40, most of our grandparents did. They usually started younger of course but think of how many families used to have 8-10 kids. The youngest of those, logically, would most likely be born to a 40+ mother.
This is Anne Hathaway’s 3rd child not her 1st. So it’s not that unusual at all.
And it’s always a happy occasion when new life is brought into the world. Was your life really so bad that you’d rather you were never born, just because your parents were 40 when they had you?

What a strawman. No one is advocating for that. The argument is that parents should be able to use their education tax dollars to get whatever education options are best for their kids. The current system forces all parents to pay for everyone else's kids into a one-size-fits-all failed system.
