Bunker supervising the first walk mow of the season of the 3 new greens. 2 of 3 survived the winter better than expected. One will need lots of TLC. Going to fertilize, needle tine and top-dress next week as they still need some smoothing out before opening.

Bunker supervising first fertilizer application of the season to turf on the new holes as they sure need it. Rain expected tonight so timing should be great. First mow as we groom down turf for fairways. Progress is slow but steady.

Crew hats have arrived. Happy how they turned out.

Still not water to parts of the course. So hand watering greens to keep them alive with assistance from the old spray rig. Definitely a first for me. Got to do whatever it takes to accomplish the mission.

Bunkers always need so much work. At least the weather is nice and the holes are closed with the construction. The crew is getting a lot done not having to work around play.

Success and overcoming issues is sometimes finding a less than desirable solution to a problem. High temps, windy, main pump still down for construction and the backup pump say not today. So have your assistant fire up the spray rig, hook a hose up and get too it!!

Old Man Winter is being stubborn this year and doesn’t want to give up. But we are stubborn too. Course cleanup continues despite the crummy weather.

Spring has arrived. Forecasted for 60 to high 70s for next 10 days. Bunker helping me give collars and approaches a little jump start.

First greens spray app as soil temps steadily increase. Opening front 9 for walkers tomorrow. New supplies arrived at a perfect time. All new Accuform Ace 2 rakes, dew brushes, sweatshirts for the crew and replacing our old putting green flags with Brazilian IPE wood. Great week!
