I’ve always felt weird about awards. Maybe it’s because I know how many people never get the credit they deserve. But last night, for once, I let myself enjoy it. And I did something I rarely do. I gave myself permission to be proud. It is well. It is well with my soul.

I think people get confused by my posts. My core issue is how liberal beliefs, most of which I hold, have been abandoned out of hate. Remember what stories have taught us. When all you have is hate, it will bring your destruction.
