THE REAL REASON that the US added its own blockade to the Iranian blockade is actually a shocker! It’s complicated but I’ll try to explain it simply. The US was horrified to discover that Iran was actually selling MORE oil since the US and Israel attacked it. Last year, it sold 1.68 million barrels a day. Since the US attacked, Iran has sold 1.84 million barrels a day – and at twice the price per barrel. In other words, the US attack accidentally made the Iranians richer! . CHANGE OF PLAN Once the US realized this, it wanted to stop it, and thus came up with the blockade plan. But US allies like South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Australia wanted the US to do the opposite – to clear the Strait of Hormuz. This left the White House with a choice. Serve itself. Or serve its allies. The White House chose itself.
