His promos lacked confidence, the crowd reactions were pretty flat, and most of his feuds didn’t have much heat. On top of that, the booking didn’t help him at all. he was often made to look weak, which is the opposite of what you want for a world champion.

I don’t look at faces or non faces. I look at takes and opinions that I am seeing a lot of to respond to so the bigger masses can hear or see a credible intelligent take on it. I don’t have the time or the ability to go through all of them. My social media person will send me some and I respond to them a couple of days. That’s how I interact and it’s just what we’ve decided to do so I’m not like a lot of people to sit on social media all day every day we use it to push out our content we have 5 shows that we do and social media is the best way to interact with that audience. My man. Again it’s NOT ABOUT THESE FIGHTS. It’s about MVP showing Netflix that they are capable of continuing to deliver high level production of a LIVE event. The Tyson fight was awful but it led to the Anthony Joshua fight which led to this. You have to stop thinking small or as if they are established. Netflix is a baby when it comes to live sports. Try to think it any network when they started with life sports. You have to do things to establish a foothold and show them you can do it. Also Netflix wants to move into the world of advertising and sponsors. And having a Saturday or Sunday content in the “off-season” is going to be gold for them. So please look at the broader bigger picture. Savanah Bananas were not a thing until they were. Started on you tube, then a couple of games on espn, and THEN a full blown schedule on espn after they showed them they could do high level production. It’s not that hard really to understand. You just have to get your niche fandom out of your mind.

@takesbytom Add ricky saints and joe hendry to that list. They are going through a transition stage. Alot of those guys have a lot of potential. Its just going to take time.

The #WWENXT men’s division is by far the WORST it’s ever been. Not a single big time player down there outside of Ethan Page, who should absolutely be main roster bound asap. Jackson Drake is especially cringey. Women’s division on the other hand? Loaded.

Thats why this is getting such a polarizing reaction because history has shown that it ultimately won't go anywhere. We like lio rush and believe he is immensely talented. But talent in AEW has never been the issue, booking and planning has been. You would think with the social media reaction this has gotten that the next step would be to feature him on dynamite and give us a backstory.

I’m seeing a lot of hate toward Lio Rush and his new dark gimmick in AEW right now. I’ll be honest. I’m biased. I’m a big fan of Lio Rush, so I’m probably going to enjoy whatever he does. That said, AEW would get way less backlash for new gimmicks or storylines if they simply did a better job explaining them. Why is Lio Rush “Blackheart” now? When did that change happen? Can he go back to who he was before or is he permanently "Blackheart" now? Those are basic questions the audience should not have to guess. If AEW took the time to properly set things up and tell the story, fans would be a lot more willing to go along with it. But when someone just shows up acting completely different, crawling around like an undead zombie with no explanation, it’s understandable why people are confused.

Not sure how it was a cheap pop, and why are they not making a big deal that they mentioned Bobby Lashley as well? It’s always funny to me how people say that WWE lives in a bubble and doesn’t remember the past and then when they bring up things from the past, they get all up in arms.
