@alienokhl MRC Qualifiers was 4 months ago, its unfair for new aspiring players and teams that want to compete or were gate kept by the country lock system of MRC. And yes, there is no road to AL as it's not needed with an AL Div 2 League, there will be seasonal Div 2 qualifiers though.

You requested and we delivered! AL DIV 2 is back. I will mention few details: - Qualifiers: 23 to 25 March - Top 2 go to P/R to Spring AL DIV 1 - 3rd to 8th go to AL DIV 2 and joined by 2 teams from P/R - DIV 2 will run for 2 months similar to AL DIV 1 Spring. GL HF! 🔥🔥

As you may have seen on IG, starting this month and heading into 2026, I will be taking on new responsibilities and handling most of the League of Legends (LoL) product work in the region, focusing mainly on publishing but also supporting Esports. As I was not involved in this area previously, I am excited to dive into it, even if only in a supportive role to the very eager to collaborate, our esports partner, Vanguard. Regarding Esports, I am aware there is a lot of potential for improvement to bring back the LoL esport hype! To initiate this change, I am planning to host a call with various community leaders and passionate fans in the second week of December to discuss the state of Esports. (Note: If you are an active AL team management personnel, team captain, or talent, we will schedule a separate, more focused call. However, you are still absolutely welcome to join this general community discussion as well!) My call-out to you is this: If you are someone who is passionate about LoL in the region and interested in seeing things improve, I invite you to this meeting in the second week of December. We can chat about what's to come and how we can bring back the hype! If you are interested in joining, please let me know so I can invite you to this call where you can speak your mind. Thank you for your message. I am sorry you and others have been financially damaged by these scams. Not being paid for 1.5 years is unacceptable. While I can't fix the past, I want to work with everyone to help prevent this from happening in the future or put clear rules to punish it. I will DM you so we can discuss this further.

Normally I’d send this privately, but since your DMs are only open to verified users and I can’t afford Premium right now (partly because I haven’t been paid for the last 1.5 years) I have to write it here. I’ve been working in the Arabian League for over 3 years and I know this region inside out. I’ll say it bluntly: MENA has a serious problem with scam orgs making promises, not paying players or staff, and then disappearing with zero consequences. Vanguard and Calyx haven’t protected anyone, not the orgs, not the players, not the coaches. People can do whatever they want, even straight-up scam, and nothing happens. (Side note: Calyx still owes teams and talents very large amounts of money.) I’m one of the people who got hit by this. I still haven’t been paid even though I have a fully valid contract. And honestly, I don’t know how anyone is supposed to keep working in esports here when the system basically tells us “if you get scammed, too bad.” In less than a year, at least two orgs have done exit scams on hardworking players and staff. I thought the FOG Esports incident would teach the region something, but here we are again. This time I’m one of the people who got financially and mentally damaged. And it’s not just me, probably more than 10+ people got hurt because nobody stepped in. I’ve never gotten a satisfying answer from Riot MENA or Vanguard, which is wild considering how much time I’ve spent helping this region grow and helping develop real talent. It sucks that my reward for that is getting scammed. I’m keeping the deeper details private, but if you genuinely want to fix this scene, contact me. I can tell you everything, the loopholes, the dark corners, the behind-the-scenes issues. I want to help fix it because I still care about it. But someone has to actually take responsibility and so far no one ever wanted to take responsibility...
