Berryman: ‘I think we’re at the point where we’re evaluating programs that are concluding or close to concluding. Regarding Coach Olen, we have a very good relationship. I want to be respectful of that.’

Berryman on NIL: ‘It’s going to take all of us. We’re not going to be bank rolled by any one company. We have to be the Green Bay Packers of college athletics.’

Berryman: ‘I think what I’m most proud of over the last year, if we can control what we can control within our own four walls, people are going to notice. We’d like to continue that.’

Berryman: ‘I’m a proud East Mtn HS alum and I take a lot of pride in that.’

Berryman on fund raising: ‘That can’t stop. Every year it’s grown since I’ve been here. We have to delineate all the different categories and attack them individually.’

Berryman on being the boss: ‘I’ve experienced it before, going from being a peer to being a boss. It comes with the territory. I’m ready for that.’

Berryman: ‘I will never shy away from a good idea. Where others have shied away from change, we will embrace it.’

Berryman: ‘People are talking about the Lobos in ways they haven’t before. That’s because the foundation is strong.’

Berryman: ‘College athletics changed my life.’

Berryman: ‘I know how much this athletic dept means to our university, our community and our state.’

Berryman: ‘Mom is the person who signed me up for that first Lobo Basketball camp.’

Berryman: ‘It’s an honor. It’s something I’ve dreamt about.‘

President Stokes: ‘He brings the 1-2 punch of experience in power conference athletics and experience at the University of New Mexico.’

President Stokes: ‘Ryan Berryman’s roots run deep at the University of New Mexico. He’s attained three degrees at UNM, all of them summa cum laude.’

President Stokes: ‘Pleased to welcome you to ground zero of a new era in Lobo Athletics.’
