@CabanaChemistry @seidlerLab @PiperXray @FaradayInst We’ve recently looked at this with LiNiO2: doi.org/10.26434/chemr… Interestingly, the XRS shows only reversible Ni oxidation in the bulk, while FY (and IPFY) shows Ni reduction and oxygen dimer formation in the outer 200nm nearest to the electrolyte.

@seidlerLab @PiperXray @FaradayInst @PiperXray should take the lead here, since his paper prompted the inquiry, but happy to join a multi-institutional brainstorm!
