My husband and I take every Thursday and Friday of the tournament off and watch hoops for four days straight. Tonight, I snuck the NCAA wrestling tourney into our multiview. I’ve recruited my husband as a new fan.

It's bracket time.
Probably the first men's bracket since I was in high school that I went with all four 1-seeds. The 1-seeds are strong in both tournaments.

Also, the cap applies to the property tax *levy*.
Here in Cayuga County, the tax levy increased by 12.5%. A bipartisan supermajority supported the override.
But the actual tax rate — the number taxpayers care about — increased by about 2%.

This is going to be a challenge for Syracuse in the hiring process. If they don't have an organized financial plan for the basketball program, coaches won't come. McNamara might be the exception because of his ties, but it will be something he will need to address if he wants to be successful here.

I didn't miss your point. I agree, as I've said twice now, that coaching does matter. You are continuing to miss mine. Where are the resources?
Indiana invested the money in its football program and it resulted in a national championship. That's how it's supposed to work today. You can't sit back and hope your team wins so the money comes or you'll get left behind.
Autry is a great coach and he was recognized as a solid recruiter. But that only gets you so far in today's game. Can't bring in a coach, tell them to get Syracuse back to the tournament AND then pledge money. It doesn't work that way.

Nice to see the proper framing here instead of headlines/stories that make it seem like Syracuse narrowed it down and he didn’t make the cut.
Syracuse’s problems won’t be fixed solely by a coaching hire. Not in today’s college sports landscape.
