There are 2 ways this can be interpreted at first glance. I'm sure Mr. Leeuwe means well, but both ways sound extremely elitist, and neither get his actual point across.

Genuine question to Sonictwt: What the fuck is "Fat Deku" and why is it only exclusive to Sonic discussions? I've searched it on Google and while drawing characters in extreme fat/chubby is a guaranteed thing especially on deviantart, I don't see the correlation

@Robosnake @nisrine65210 So here’s my understanding from the info you gave me 1. The echidnas carve Sonic into the Angel Island murals 2. Gerald happens to stumble across these carvings for Shadow 3. Gerald finishes Shadow 4. Many years later, Sonic is born. 5. The events of SA2 happens. Accurate?

I can't believe some people don't know this but... Gerald didn't "invent" Shadow's design. He saw the mural of Super Sonic at Angel Island (from Sonic 3 & Knuckles) and used that prophecy to shape Shadow’s body-

@Disspam7771 @nisrine65210 Also, in Hydrocity in both Sonic 3 AND Mania, at the VERY top of the background, there are Sonic carvings in the pillars. The remains of the Knuckles clan knew of Sonic's to-be existence.

Also, let's not forget Lost World has a Perfect Chaos Mural, and Sonic's section of Cannon's Core also has near identical water slides to Lost World He had to get the Chaos stuff from SOMEWHERE.

Chaos creatures exist all around the ark, the biolizard makes the same noises as chaos and has the same structure as him. Shadow has the raised spikes sonic has when he is super. There is literally no other reason in the series for gerald to go from the biolizard to shadow in a way that makes any cohesive sense if he did not see that mural. Its made very clear in sa2 just from playing in the ark that he got that from studying angel island. Otherwise nothing makes any sense.

@nisrine65210 @sonicstarrr I like to believe the mural theory too, but the way this is phrased sounds like he wasn't there for too long, not long enough to dig around in caves anyways. Also maybe just me, but he probably would've mentioned the Mural? There's nothing that confirms why Shadow's a hedgehog.

@sonicstarrr Here. This visit happened before he finished Shadow. It probably means he saw the Hidden Palace murals (which are inside the mountain on that island) and used them as his "inspiration"
