Their turns took longer than all of ours combined, largely because they had to think about how everything interacted. They did have fun though, so not knocking them personally. The game just could've gone smoother and faster if their deck was toned down a little.

The pregame chat is important to commander but I've found a new issue. Player who's clearly pasted a powerful decklist but isn't experienced enough to pilot it properly. I'll lose fair and square, just don't make me have to check what you're doing all the time

Love it when a stat speaks for itself. Commander has become the most popular format and Wizards were quick to support/capitalise on it

In a way I do respect the gall of WotC. Collectible card games produce products with such an inelastic demand that any business would be silly not to try and capitalise on it. Definitely not in the spirit of the game's 30th anniversary though

Felt very sh*t about writing and other things today but weirdly the craziness that's come out as a result of #MagicTheGathering 30 year anniversary announcement has helped. Plus my 40K deck has been shipped 🙏
