OpenCode is about to get more powerful with remote sandboxes
I showed a brief demo before, but here's a much more in-depth demo. it's not hard to add basic support for a remote env, but handling all the edge cases like when a remote env gets deleted is difficult. especially if care about good UX
You never want to lose session data. so the choices are: run the session in your env, but run all tool calls remotely. that's too complex and painful.
The other way is to just let the full session run remotely, but sync back all the session data in your env. We chose this path: we built a syncing system which logs all events in a way that we can always recreate your entire session.
That means the remote env could get destroyed, but we can easily restore it. it also opens up other interesting ideas which we'll be exploring

🚨 BREAKING: CHINA just released a Python framework for building AI agents. 100% OPEN SOURCE.
It has visual agent design, MCP tools, memory, RAG, and reasoning. All built in. All working together.
It's called AgentScope.
You describe your agent system. It builds the architecture, wires the tools, and runs the whole thing. You come back and there's a working multi-agent pipeline. Not a prototype. Not a demo. The actual system.
Not a wrapper.
Not a chatbot builder.
A full Agent-Oriented Programming framework that thinks in agents from the ground up.
Here's what it does out of the box:
→ Visual agent builder so you design your entire system before writing a single line of code
→ Native MCP tool support, plug any external tool directly into any agent in your pipeline
→ Built-in memory so every agent remembers context, decisions, and history across sessions
→ RAG pipeline ready to connect your own documents, databases, and knowledge bases
→ Reasoning modules that let agents plan, reflect, and self-correct without human input
→ Multi-agent coordination so your agents collaborate as a system, not a pile of isolated API calls
Here's how it thinks:
You define your goal. AgentScope maps the agent roles. Each agent gets its tools, its memory, its reasoning layer. They coordinate. Results flow back up. You get a finished output.
A single complex task might route through a planner agent, a researcher agent, a coder agent, and a critic agent, each doing its job, then converge into one clean deliverable.
Here's the wildest part:
AgentScope is built by Alibaba DAMO Academy. The same lab behind Qwen. They didn't assemble this from existing pieces. They designed the entire framework from first principles around how agents actually need to think, remember, and work together. Most frameworks give you building blocks. AgentScope gives you an architecture. The community has already started plugging it into data pipelines, research workflows, and full automation systems the team never planned for.
100% Open Source. Apache 2.0 License.

🚨Qwen dropped the open-source Claude Code killer.
It's called Qwen3-Coder-Next and it's genuinely wild.
Only 3B active parameters but beats models with 10x-20x MORE parameters on SWE-Bench-Pro.
PLUS: They launched Qwen Code CLI, the best open-source alternative to Claude Code.
1,000 free requests/day.
This is the model that proves size is a lie
Here's everything you need to know

✅ Local-first: tus datos y herramientas NUNCA salen de tu PC.
✅ Security-first: contenedores blindados + escáner de skills maliciosos.
✅ Instalación en 1 clic (Mac & Linux ya, Windows pronto).
✅ 100% extensible: crea, modifica y lleva tu agente a otro nivel.

LangChain just open-sourced a replica of Claude Code.
It’s an MIT-licensed framework that recreates the core workflow behind coding agents like Claude Code but in an open system developers can inspect and modify.
It is called Deep Agents.
I spent a bit of time looking through the repo and it’s actually a pretty helpful reference if you’re trying to understand how these coding agents are structured.
Here's what's inside:
→ Planning tools for breaking down tasks
→ File system access for reading, writing, and editing code
→ Shell command execution with sandboxing
→ Sub-agents for handling complex work in parallel
→ Auto-summarization when context gets too long
Another useful aspect is that it’s model-agnostic, so you can plug in different LLMs and experiment with building your own coding agents on top of the same structure.
If you’re exploring agent frameworks or just curious how tools like Claude Code work under the hood, this is a pretty good repo to bookmark.

We cannot believe we’re saying this… with profound sadness we share that Philip Anthony Campbell has passed.
Motörhead’s guitarist for 31 years, Phil later formed @PCATBS with his sons Todd, Dane, and Tyla.
A brilliant guitarist with a huge heart and unstoppable humor. RIP Phil.
