How does Quantum Resistant Ledger $QRL compare to major quantum companies? It seems that Google’s Willow quantum chip announcement in December 2024 kicked off a strong new quantum cycle. $IONQ $QBTS $RGTI

Quantum computing is advancing, but it is not yet at a stage where it can break production blockchain cryptography in real-world systems. That said, long-term preparation matters. We’ve published a research report exploring how BSC could migrate core cryptographic systems to post-quantum alternatives 🧵👇

$QRL holders, I have an interesting question, please tag the correct people who can enlighten me. So if QRL 2.0 is essentially going to ML-DSA AND will start allowing development. What do you think truly makes it different from $QANX besides the fact that it is battle tested? Because as it stands, it just sounds like they are trying to become more like $QANX - which kinda implies that QANX is QRL on steroids. But of course all this pretty much can fall flat since QAN doesn't even have mainnet out yet + I already mentioned the enterprise issue that is possible. And don't think I am shitting on QRL either, I am very clear about why I love the project. But this is something important for all holders to know.

@RedGrindingHood And finally - if you are okay with chain that will need to migrate all their users before Q-Day, then you can freely pick Ethereum. You don't need a completely new chain that's not completely PQ-safe since first block.

@RedGrindingHood And the whole code is still private, so you can't really see how exactly it will work. Additionally, operating their nodes will be problematic, due to how they designed the smart contracts. It will likely be very centralized. Hacken audit had some good criticism/questions on it.

@CryptosR_Us He is talking about mining (proof-of-work) - which is safe. But he ignores the real vulnerability, which is in the digital signature algorithm. That's what's used to sign transactions on the network. And that is vulnerable to quantum computers running Shor's algorithm.

ELON MUSK: "AI CANNOT DEFY FUNDAMENTAL MATH" - BITCOIN IS SAFE AI optimizes within known rules. Cracking Bitcoin requires breaking mathematics itself. No amount of compute changes that. "It is impossible to fake energy." Bitcoin's proof-of-work is the ultimate defense. 🔥

@RedGrindingHood @SamBeckett__ Btw I see that the previous commenter has me blocked in here. Which means he's likely from QANX or CELL that I publicly criticized in the past. So I'm not surprised they try to spread bs about QRL.

@RedGrindingHood @SamBeckett__ I wouldn't call it "a problem". QRL was using XMSS since 2018. Back then it was the best secure approach. Now we have more PQ signature schemes (standardized by NIST in 2024) so it gets upgraded to a more user-friendly one (ML-DSA). It just shows QRL is being kept up-to-date :)

I was thinking about $QRL earlier and had an epiphany, sort of. I was thinking about what happens to the ENTIRE market the day quantum fear becomes permanent instead of temporary. Because QRL pumped over 50% on one Google paper and then settled back down. That was temporary fear. A one day panic. What happens when the fear does not leave? When it is not a headline but a reality? I do not even have an answer for that, the potential is jaw dropping. But you know what I DO have? A position in the project, because that matters most :)

@RedGrindingHood @SamBeckett__ There are some positives and negatives regarding XMSS. Main negative is the statefullness (need to track used signatures). But upcoming QRL 2.0 upgrade is using ML-DSA instead of XMSS, which makes that issue disappear.

Everyone's chasing the next $1 billion coin… but ignoring the one problem that could break them all: quantum risk. Quantum Resistant Ledger ( $QRL ) solved this in 2018 - live mainnet, not a roadmap. Referenced by Google Quantum AI: quantumai.google/static/site-as… And in a Lockheed Martin patent: patents.google.com/patent/US20240… Most people haven't noticed yet. That's how early it still is. @Bybit_Official @benbybit - are you watching? #PostQuantum #Crypto #Blockchain

@usefulbanana1 @xmr_jake Upcoming QRL 2.0 upgrade brings EVM-compatible smart contracts - so all projects currently running on top of Ethereum can easily deploy on $QRL too. So in addition to digital currency and store of value, QRL will be also a place for decentralized apps. theqrl.org/2

@xmr_jake So will you keep shilling QRL in like 5 years when everything major is quantum proof? Ive commented on your posts about QRL before, and I just don't see the long term use case for it.Private and fungible cash of course. But even post FCMP, Monero will effectively be quantum proof

@coinbureau Valid concern, but abandon all hope is a stretch quantum risk affects every chain, not just Ethereum L2s. The real edge will go to whoever upgrades first, not who shouts loudest.
