Key findings: • 8 days of plant protein supplementation reduced markers of gut damage (i-FABP) • No increase in gastrointestinal symptoms • Improved thermoregulation, including higher sweat rates and slightly lower core temperature • Reduced perceived thermal strain

I am excited to share my most recent publication in Experimental Physiology! In this study, I investigated whether a fava bean-derived plant protein (ATURA) could support GI disturbances and thermoregulation during exercise in hot conditions. physoc.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.111…

Fantastic morning spent with @activity4kidz @AmieRichards at @SwanseaUni discussing our 3year project focusing on hypermobility and using a scooter as a diagnostic device, all very exciting! And we had a game of Scoot Ball, the students loved it 😎🛴⚽️

Great to see our work published in @EJAP_official. “Caffeine ingestion compromises thermoregulation and does not improve cycling time to exhaustion in the heat amongst males” Thanks to my mentor @MarkWaldron13 and team ☕️ 🚴 🥵 doi.org/10.1007/s00421…
