This was as insane a 12-month span as you could imagine, as our subject goes from a bar/gym manager in Cocoa Beach who'd given up on wrestling to Alabama to Memphis to the Docks to Georgia to Knoxville to a featured attraction in New York now called Hulk Hogan. By year's end, he'd already wrestled Andre The Giant twice, Harley Race for the NWA title, teamed up with Jerry Lawler, battled Bob Armstrong, tussled with Stan Hansen, and debuted in Madison Square Garden against Ted Dibiase. 🧵
