Life Update: God is good, always. When my coaching journey took another unexpected turn at Limestone University, Tiff and I felt a peace that’s hard to explain, but we knew it was a God thing. Even in the mess, we trusted He had a plan. I told several people we weren’t going to live like victims or carry an orphan mindset. Our Heavenly Father is the King of kings, and we knew He was writing a bigger story. For about a month I met with business leaders and baseball connections over breakfast and lunch, seeking clarity and praying for God to open the right doors, and close the wrong ones. Honestly, I could write a short book on how clearly and quickly He did just that. And when the dust settled, God showed up in a big way, again. I accepted a position as VP of Development at Anchor Bat Company, based in Greenville, SC. The owner, Matt Rollins, has been a dear friend for over 20 years, and the timing of this opportunity was undeniably a God thing. With new investors, including Braves legend Dale Murphy, we’ve moved into an incredible space that’s positioning Anchor to reach a whole new level. Our family has already had some amazing adventures like attending MLB All-Star Weekend, where I had the opportunity to represent Anchor in the Braves clubhouse during the MLB Futures Game. It’s been such a fun transition. Only God could find a way to keep me close to the game I love, doing what I’m passionate about, and keep us right here in Greenville. As for coaching, I’m not stepping away, I’m just shifting focus for this season to spend more time coaching my own son. And that’s a blessing I don’t take for granted. Life’s an adventure when you let God write the story. Philippians 4:19 Check us out at Anchorbatco.com
