In a call with British Foreign Secretary @YvetteCooperMP, I expressed concern over the rise in violent antisemitic incidents in the UK. I referred to the arson attack on ambulances belonging to the "Hatzalah" organization last week. Antisemitism in the UK, as well as in other countries, is spreading like wildfire and requires treatment at its roots. I mentioned the recent article by former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, which pointed to the connection between the irresponsible delegitimization of Israel and the rise of antisemitism in the West. I drew the Foreign Secretary’s attention to the troubling fact that the Lebanese Foreign Ministry’s decision to expel the Iranian ambassador has remained on paper only. Just as the Lebanese government’s decision to disarm Hezbollah has also remained on paper only. Just as the Lebanese army’s statement three months ago claiming it had achieved “operational control” in southern Lebanon up to the Litani River - was baseless. In contrast, the 5,000 missiles, rockets, and drones fired at Israel since March 2nd are entirely real. Israel has the right to defend itself and will continue to act to protect its citizens.

Following an Iranian missile strike just meters from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Israel Police is closely coordinating with Christian communities to allow Holy Fire Saturday ceremonies to proceed in a symbolic format while ensuring public safety. This morning, local Police Commander met with Latin Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa, and both sides agreed on an adjusted framework for the traditional celebrations. Over the past two weeks, several Iranian rockets have struck near Jerusalem’s holiest sites. The threat is real and imminent.

Last week, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry declared the Iranian ambassador a "persona non grata" and set a deadline for his expulsion from Lebanon. That deadline expired yesterday, March 29th. This morning, the Iranian ambassador is sipping his coffee in Beirut, mocking the host "country". Hezbollah ministers also continue to serve in the Lebanese government. Lebanon is a virtual state that is, in practice, occupied by Iran. It is a visible occupation that hardly anyone speaks about. 5,000 missiles, rockets, and drones have been fired at Israel from Lebanese territory since March 2nd, when Hezbollah launched its attack in violation of the November 2024 ceasefire. A large portion of them were fired at Israel from south of the Litani River - an area that the Lebanese army declared in early January to be under its "operational control". Lebanon will not regain its freedom until a decision is made in Beirut to confront the Iranian occupation and its proxy - Hezbollah.

I have instructed the relevant authorities that Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin Patriarch, be granted full and immediate access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. Over the past several days, Iran has repeatedly targeted the holy sites of all three monotheistic religions in Jerusalem with ballistic missiles. In one strike, missile fragments crashed meters from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. To protect worshippers, Israel asked members of all faiths to temporarily abstain from worshipping at the Christian, Muslim and Jewish holy sites in Jerusalem’s Old City. Today, out of special concern for his safety, Cardinal Pizzaballa was asked to refrain from holding mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Even though I understand this concern, as soon as I learned about the incident with Cardinal Pizzaballa, I instructed the authorities to enable the Patriarch to hold services as he wishes.

When Iranian missile struck near to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem, @sanchezcastejon had nothing to say. Sánchez — who won’t even wish Spanish citizens with a “Merry Christmas” — never misses an opportunity to incite against Israel. Israel is committed to freedom of religion and worship and will continue to uphold it, unlike the Iranian regime — that openly supports Sánchez.

I just called the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, His Beatitude Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, to express my great sorrow over this morning's unfortunate incident in the Old City of Jerusalem, in which Cardinal Pizzaballa and the Custos of the Holy Land, the Most Reverend Fr. Francesco Ielpo, were prevented from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre for prayers amid the ongoing security situation. I clarified that the incident stemmed from security concerns due to the continuous threat of missile attacks from the Iranian terror regime against the civilian population in Israel, following previous incidents in which Iranian missiles fell in the area of the Old City of Jerusalem in recent days. I reaffirmed the State of Israel's unwavering commitment to freedom of religion for all faiths and to upholding the status quo at the holy sites of Jerusalem.

A UN mandate born from a 2014 Iran-sponsored resolution is now set to be filled by Zeina Jallad, who has voiced support for Hamas, a designated terrorist organization responsible for the October 7 massacre. Tony Blair, former UK Prime Minister 👇🏽 “You cannot pretend that Israel does not face a substantial terrorist threat from Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime, and other groups that do not recognize Israel’s right to exist.” Antisemitism is rising across Britain and Europe. Words aren’t enough. You can’t oppose it while refusing to condemn October 7 or denying reality. institute.global/insights/news/…

“The Iranian regime poses no threat to the world.” Honestly, every time I hear that sentence - usually from a politician or a very comfortable diplomat - I mentally put a big red X on their ability to understand geopolitics. Not disagreement. Disqualification. Let’s walk through this slowly, for the well-meaning but dangerously naive. In what world is it normal for a state to recruit 700,000 fighters from across Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Pakistan… arm them, train them, and deploy them as transnational militias outside the authority of their own countries? In what world is it normal to effectively hijack the political, economic, and military decision-making of a neighboring state like Iraq, while simultaneously fueling civil wars in Syria and Yemen that have left millions dead and tens of millions displaced? In what world is it normal that half of a country’s armed forces - namely the IRGC - is designated as a terrorist organization by dozens of countries… and yet continues to operate, fund, arm, and expand? And here’s my favorite. In what world is it normal for a regime to transfer ballistic missiles (multi-warhead systems with ranges exceeding 2,500 km) to a terrorist non-state actors like the Houthis? Let me simplify that. Sovereign-level strategic weapons… handed to narco terror militias. Militias that traffic in narcotics, humans and chaos. And somehow, we’re told this is… not a threat? Even NATO countries like Germany or Italy don’t field that kind of range in their arsenals. But a militia in Yemen does? Perfectly normal. Nothing to see here. And all of this is happening in a region that holds roughly 60% of global oil and gas reserves, and controls the world’s most critical maritime choke points - Strait of Hormuz, Bab el-Mandeb, and the Suez Canal. So let me ask the obvious question. If this is not a threat… what exactly qualifies? Explain it to me like am a 5 year old!! Do we wait until global energy flows collapse? Until maritime trade is strangled? Until missiles start landing beyond the region? At what point do we graduate from “not a threat” to “perhaps mildly concerning”? Because from where I’m sitting, the regime isn’t preparing to become a threat. It already is one. Oh, I forgot .. All of the above is happening while the same terror sponsoring regime is seeking nuclear weapons and in actual control of 460 kg of highly enriched uranium enough for 11 nuclear bombs!!🤦🏻‍♂️

Iran’s use of cluster munitions against Israeli cities is systematic, not incidental. Institute for Study of War (ISW) cites military assessments that ~70% of Iranian missiles carry cluster warheads, fired toward Israeli major cities almost daily—spreading dozens of bomblets across wide areas. Israel, by contrast, is targeting Iranian military and weapons infrastructure along with Teheran's repressive apparatus like the Baseej. This asymmetry in selection of attacks is rarely -- perhaps few exceptions -- commented upon by the media during the war.
