That’s a wrap - after a busy third day of sessions, the Rodolfus Choir has completed its recording of Cecilia McDowall’s glorious secular choral music. It was wonderful to have Cecilia with us this week, and we can’t wait to share our recordings with you in 2026! @OUPMusic

Day 2 of choir recording sessions and we have just finished recording Cecilia McDowall’s wonderful Shakespeare settings, ‘When time is broke’, under the expert direction of @CooperElinor. First performed by the @BBCSingers and @davidhconductor in 2016, we’ve loved the challenge!

The choir has been on excellent form this afternoon recording two of Cecilia McDowall’s recent works with ‘cello - ‘One day walking’ & ‘The Year of the Horse’ - under the brilliant direction of @CooperElinor

The choir is sounding glorious in their final rehearsal. What better piece to sing in the chapel of @SPC_Oxford than Palestrina’s ‘Tu es Petrus’?

We’ve also been preparing a three choir, surround sound performance of Palestrina’s “Ecce nunc benedicite Dominum”.

Our consort groups have been busy polishing their performances this morning before our final concert preparations this afternoon.

The choir is already warming up their voices and their bodies!
