Not all back pain are the same. Some you can remedy with rest. Others you may need pain relievers. And there are conditions, like #AnkylosingSpondylitis , that if left untreated can result in serious disability and prolonged suffering.

@sianelss Please consult a friendly rheumatologist in your area @sianelss. He should be able to assist you :-)

@sianelss Please rule out connective/autoimmune disease.

Locally, if APAS = pregnancy problems, go to Allergo-Immuno. If APAS = thrombosis, find a Rheum. But if APAS +/- CTD, you should seek a Rheum.

@doktora_ging For Hi-Precision, it’s ANA quantitative. For NKTI, it’s ANA with pattern. It’s more expensive than the often done latex / ELIA but the information is also more helpful in evaluating patients suspected to have AID.

Hi fellow MDs! If you’ll order ANA for lupus, pls do “ANA-immunofluorescence” instead of latex method so we see the titer & pattern (homogenous, speckled, etc) & there’s less false negative. Low-titer ANA may not be diagnostic, & not all ANA(+) are d/t autoimmune dse. Pls RT☺️
