Rounding Third Softball

UMBC had already canceled their weekend series with Binghamton on Friday. The Retrievers are only 18 games into the season and currently has a record of 10-8.

A source within the program confirmed the team met today with athletic officials and was to vote on continuing with the season. That vote was put on hold by athletic officials and will be further evaluated this week.

The University of Maryland Baltimore County has made a coaching change as head coach Angie Nicholson is no longer with the program. Nicholson was in her first season leading @UMBCsoftball. #Rounding3rdSB

Hillhouse is credited with developing pitchers from Europe, to South America, and across the United States both female and male. The former men’s pitcher with @USASoftball was just 53 years old.

National and world-renowned pitching coach and former player William “Bill” Hillhouse has passed away. Known across the globe working with the International Softball Congress developing the sport, Hillhouse battled pancreatic cancer.

Utah State Head Coach Todd Judge has resigned effective immediately. Judge was in his third season leading @USUSoftball. Assistant coach Shelby Thompson will serve as interim head coach for the remainder of the season. #Rounding3rdSB

@WWE It is expected Hines will train there and appear under the companies @WWENXT Brand in the future. Kennedy credited friend and U.S. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon in aiding his niece in her joining the WWE. McMahon is the wife of former WWE Owner and CEO Vince McMahon.

Hines participated in a @WWE tryout during the companies annual event SummerSlam last August at the companies Performance Center in Orlando.

Former @BC_Softball player Zoe Hines has signed a contract with World Wresting Entertainment (@WWE). She played for the Eagles from 2022-2025. Hines is the niece of United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. #Rounding3rdSB

@TriangleClassic The @TriangleClassic is in its 19th year and was founded and is directed by former longtime collegiate coach and men’s fastpitch star Charlie Dobbins. Week One of the @TriangleClassic will feature programs from Division II and Junior College. Week Two will feature a gathering of some of the top Division III squads in the country.

The 2026 edition of the @TriangleClassic is set to begin this week. The annual event in the Raleigh, NC will feature two weekends February 27-March 1 and March 6-8. #Rounding3rdSB
