Stradey Park Hotel in Llanelli was earmarked by the Home Office to house migrants, but determined local residents objected. Publicised by @VoWalesOfficial online & in MSM, they were crucial. The hotel has paid the price for cancelled weddings etc. it's in receivership.

Iraqi Small Boat Migrant Convicted Of Rape In Kensington! Yousif Al-Maliki, 30, an asylum seeker from Iraq has been been convicted of raping a woman in a South Kensington hostel dormitory. Al-Maliki, who claims he fled torture in Baghdad as a bisexual man, ignored his victims desperate pleas to stop and forced himself on her in a shared 12 bed room where anyone could have walked in. The incident unfolded on August 1, 2025, after the pair met drinking in Soho at the Astor Hostel. Prosecutor Jose Olivares Chandler told Southwark Crown Court the woman shoved his hands away, said no over and over, yet he shoved his hands under her shorts and raped her anyway. Al-Maliki denied everything and claimed he needed an Arabic interpreter in court, the judge later commented: "He understands English perfectly well". His defence played the persecution card. After a week long trial, Al-Maliki was found him guilty of rape on March 9, 2026. Judge Christopher Hehir: "Be under no illusion, you will be going to prison for some time." He ordered a dangerousness assessment before sentencing on April 21, 2026. His asylum claim is now on pause. #UKNews #CrimeNews #Kensington #London

@VoWalesOfficial I spent 10 minutes looking into @ahsanforbritain and came to the conclusion he is a con man, and not a very good one at that.

Following the news that the Stradey Park Hotel has closed with immediate affect, we went along to see if we could find out the reason. As you can imagine there is very little reason being given for the closure but what we do know is it has been closed with immediate affect, jobs have once again been lost, weddings cancelled, Proms cancelled & also local business events cancelled. Please use this post to help the people who have been hit by this, if you're a business looking for staff or a venue with short notice availability comment below and if you have been affected or know someone affected, tag them in.
