People seem to refuse to look at the facts when it comes to De Zerbi… they just see a “big name” and think it’s the best option - First manager in Brighton’s history to go winless in their first 4 matches in charge - Left Brighton because he fell out with Bloom over transfer strategy - Left Marseille because he threw toys out the pram and lost connection with dressing room - Is a massive hothead who squares up to players in training telling them to “call their agent and bring them here” Tottenham Hotspur is as unstable as it’s ever been in it’s history, and this appointment won’t make it better… there is absolutely nothing to suggest he is a long term solution

I think we as a fan base (me included) have been too quiet on Vinai’s role with Partey.
It shouldn’t have been brushed over in the first place, and it cannot be tolerated now. Whether we get RDZ or not, it’s beyond doubt the person in charge of our club doesn’t care about women.

While the entire foul jamboree is ridiculous, surely people understand that Spurs are going to have to pay an exorbitant sum for any manager of any reputation at all? They have zero leverage in this situation. Any agent worth their salt is going to shake them all the way down

It’s always nice when Spurs hire a manager you already have a head start on disliking. It was very difficult to hate Thomas Frank, it will not be hard at all to hate De Zerbi.

One thing I will say about this Mason Greenwood situation is, he has to come out and apologise for his comments (now he is no longer Marseille manager), to get all the fans on his side.

Just don’t see how Roberto de Zerbi works at Tottenham, I’ll be real. Absolute disaster with man-management and especially at a club like Spurs, where it’s so important (along with all the big clubs in England), I can’t see him last beyond the end of next season.

I find it odd how for some reason, for the past 10+ years, people have become completely obsessed with the idea of playing football in their own defensive third, and how finding ways to build out from there is the sign of a progressive and attacking coach.
Of course there are very impressive things here.
But this entire passage of play involved using many players and the ball stayed in the defensive third for the vast majority of it…
When did people stop assessing how managers and teams attack, the actual final 3rd being the first thing they looked at?

Greenwood stuff aside.
He’s a fiery character who has a track record of falling out with clubs/players. Does not promote longevity, calm or togetherness and for that reason I don’t see him being remotely a good fit
Does play exciting football but that’s the only positive I see
