Dad. Teacher. Coach. Believer in Occam's Razor, the disaster that is Jerry Jones, the mediocrity of the StL Cardinals ownership, and the kids I teach/coach.

@TheSports_Shift Not a Bucs fan (or hater), but what about the "Throwin' Samoan?" Jack Thompson! Other likely mentioned him. Steve Young had some coffee with the Bucs, too

Stop what you’re doing, @bryanandrews_ has something to say! 👀 I co-sign every single word Bryan Andrews said in this video. I’m admittedly not the biggest country music fan. However, I have a small list of artists in my playlist. This is someone I can support and give money to. It would be cool if we could all go support this artist. We need to get back to lifting up the right people. 🇺🇸🙏🏼 YouTube: @bryanandrewsmusic" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">youtube.com/@bryanandrewsm… Spotify: spotify.link/CKdv7xkruXb Twitter: x.com/bryanandrews Source: @couriernewsroom

Calling this an “insurrection against sovereignty” isn’t just overheated—it’s intellectually dishonest. A crowd surrounding a detention center in protest of immigration enforcement isn’t a coup; it’s a constitutional act of dissent. We don't have to agree with the message to recognize the right to send it. Protest has always been part of America’s story—it’s how we expanded the vote, ended child labor, and demanded civil rights. Rebranding it as sedition to score political points cheapens the term and disrespects the gravity of real threats to our democracy. Let’s not confuse volume with violence or disagreement with disloyalty. There’s a world of difference between storming the Capitol to overturn an election and demonstrating against policies you believe are unjust. If words still matter—and they should—then calling this an “insurrection” isn’t just wrong, it’s reckless. Because if protest becomes treason, then democracy becomes theater. And some of us still believe this country is more than a stage.

@LakotaMan1 I teach a Century of Dishonor, the Dawes Act (1887), the so-called Termination Policy, and sterilization into the '70s wrought havoc on Native culture. We use Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee as a secondary source. This doesn't include other references. First Nations for a reason!

So, a MAGA just told me that nobody gives a sh*t about Natives. Asking my absolutely amazing allies — do you care about the Native American community?

@DailyNoahNews @ABC Have you ever actually watched PBS News Hour? Honest question. It is one of the few outlets that still practices the Fairness Doctrine. And Frontline? I feel like so many Americans are so far down their own rabbit hole they wouldn't recognize objectivity if it smashed their face.

Finally. Why should taxpayers fund networks that push elite, leftist narratives and mock the very Americans who foot the bill? NPR and PBS stopped being neutral a long time ago, they’ve become mouthpieces for cultural radicalism. Trump’s move isn’t censorship, it’s accountability. Let them compete like everyone else, without taxpayer welfare. Common sense, long overdue.

@krassenstein @burtmacklin_fbi This is the problem with echo chamber, not understanding Occam's Razor, and Dunning-Kruger: there is a tendency to practice equivocation to the extreme and be particularly susceptible to moral equivalency.

@burtmacklin_fbi A statue is to memorialize and honor someone. Purging statues of traitors and racists is not remotely the same as trying to remove content from museums and schools

This is sickeningly chilling: Adolf Hitler’s rise to power was marked by a systematic campaign to dismantle democratic institutions, suppress dissent, and undermined democratic elections, while dehumanizing minority groups. Shortly after taking power in 1933, Hitler’s regime began reshaping how German history and culture were presented to the public while demanding loyalty instead of institutional allegiance. The Nazis purged museums, universities, libraries, and cultural institutions of anything that contradicted their ideology. School curricula and museum exhibits were rewritten to glorify the Aryan race and erase Germany’s responsibility for World War I. Any content deemed "degenerate" or "un-German" was removed. Hitler then undermined judicial independence by pressuring judges to conform to Nazi ideology and calling for the expulsion of those judges who did not. Hitler and his propaganda machine frequently claimed that protesters and political opponents were not genuine, but rather paid agitators working for foreign interests—especially Communists and Jews. This narrative helped justify violent crackdowns and mass arrests. His regime also crushed independent journalism, replacing it with tightly controlled propaganda that manipulated public opinion. Hitler sent thousands of people who were perceived threats to concentration camps without trials or due process. Most significantly, he cast aside the constitutional limits of the Weimar Republic, which destroyed any remaining constitutional limits on his rule.

@StephenM First, you don't need all 677. 2nd, that's why Madison wrote Federalist #51 where ambition is needed to check ambition. The FFs believed in Checks and Balances. You believe in the Unitary Executive Theory. That, sir, rejects our FFs' ideals on Checks and Balances.

There are 677 local district judges. Under current procedure, the president needs unanimous consent from all 677 to implement a major decision. If just 1 communist out of 677 unelected judges disagrees, the action is frozen. Nationwide. That is not democracy. That is tyranny.

@hooah_mac @lakersdana @kdnerak33 @doug_wk Of course, it's not possible that the a Prez could assign a VP a role in overseeing anything. Bush certainly didn't do that with Cheney and Foreign Policy did ...oh wait. If that's the logic, then stop holding VPs accountable for policies of their Prez since they have no power.

I don't need to know anything at all about her motivations or thoughts. She has no legal authority, so no reason for her to call. If he needs to coordinate with the federal government, talking to FEMA, DHS, DoD, the President, or his Chief of Staff would all make sense. There would be no reason for Harris to talk to DeSantis except either for a political boost or because she wants to know something. Neither is a valid use of his time.

This sh** is insane. Ppl like this have no business being ANYWHERE near power in a DEMOCRATIC system if they believe only 1 view of "democratic power" belongs to them.

@LakotaMan1 Too many so-called Americans know VERY little about the Dawes Act, the Indian Reorganization Act, etc. I always ask my students what would US History look like if it was taught from the perspective of <insert group name> as a way to get them to think more deeply and broadly.

So, growing their hair long is how Native boys express their cultural identity. SOME non-Native teachers and principals have a problem with that. Should Native boys be allowed to wear their hair long to school?
