Pushed all the cows out to the grazing paddock 20 mins ago. Open access in and out. 1/3 of the cows back in already, I guess within an hour we will have 2/3 of them back in. Almost like they might not want to go outside?

A dramatic change of land use occurring here with hundreds of acres of apple trees being grubbed out 🍏 🍎 It appears farming is even hard for the big producers and land owners. Dare I mention the removal of all that sequestered carbon and habitat loss for the local fauna 🌳

@Rupert_Sheppard @cornellvet @jdairyscience Interestingly, we saw the same milk effect in parity 3 cows on all 4 farms. There were not enough disease/removal events to statistically assess, so we should be cautious on interpretation. Hard to enroll enough cows to analyze disease data - even 1,000 cows was not enough!

The Australian actuary beat 14 opponents in various 30-minute case study challenges. Funniest part: this clip of live-stream announcers losing their minds over pivot tables and data labeling. What did Ngai get for winning? A $15k cash prize and a glorious Wrestling Championship Belt 😂
