Met a trader last week who's been sitting on $200k in savings for 3 years Won't touch the market because he got burned on meme stocks in 2021 So instead he's got it sitting in a HYSA earning 4.5% That's $9,000/year Here's what I'd actually do with $200k if I wanted to build real cash flow: Take $150k and learn to sell options Specifically credit spreads and iron condors on SPX At a conservative 2-3% monthly return, that's - $3,000-$4,500/month - $36,000-$54,000/year On the same $150k That's 4-6x what his savings account is paying him Keep $50k in a HYSA as a buffer Now you have: - A liquid emergency fund - A growing income stream - Capital that compounds monthly instead of sitting The difference between rich people and everyone else isn't access to better investments It's the willingness to learn a skill that pays you repeatedly Selling options is that skill Most people don't know it exists
