@skarayu @choromatsu333 the 2015 4CC helped to boost his PCS, too... it was great timing, too, because he didn't really have a great worlds competitions and needed that boost to overcome Boyang :)

@skarayu yeah, he was (fake)-pitied and victimised so much by the fanyu. it was hilarious. Shoma vs Boyang (rather short-lived) rivalry quickly turned into the "JSF pet" vs "poor underscored jumping genius" kinda discourse real quick.

@choromatsu333 @skarayu I had so many conversations with her on sports... It was awful. :))

@RutrumusM @skarayu I know the name and the atmosphere associated with it but thankfully don't remember much as I always preferred to stay in my own circles 😂

@choromatsu333 @skarayu yeah, the 4F and 4Lo rise definitely accelerated that process, but the roots go back even further. 2015-16 wasn't as bad mostly because he did not have a successful worlds at the end of the season.

@RutrumusM @skarayu I can't attest for 2015 as I wasn't there yet but I remember shift in the atmosphere through 2016-2017 like rapid weather change lol

@skarayu yeah. Boyang started landing things even prior to that, but he was never considered a "threat" because of that obvious PCS cushion lol. With Shoma, it largely started as a war against his "jumping technique", and Boyang fans were the quickest to jump on that bandwagon

@skarayu gosh, some people started hating him after he'd won the junior WC over Boyang. (@choromatsu333 are you familiar with Магуша lore? she was one of those passionate admirers of "cute little Shoma" that turned really hostile). with fanyu, it's definitely 2016-17 season: all of it lol

@skarayu but 2016-17 season brought more dramatic changes, of course, with all the 4F, 4Lo and other things happening lol
